DeAndre Jordan is Introduced! Plus, Talen Horton-Tucker's role, and C-Webb the Laker?

At long last (or more specifically, 48 hours, the time it took to clear waivers), DeAndre Jordan officially signed his contract with the Lakers on Thursday, and did an introductory press conference. The most interesting aspects to the Kamenetzky Brothers weren't as much about the details he offered (although he did seem excited to compete and amiable towards whatever role is needed of him), but rather how he was asked questions that framed Lakers-Nets as a rivalry. It is... in the sense that these are the consensus picks to make the Finals, and the storylines are incredibly juicy fun. But it's also not, in the sense that there's no recent history to speak of whatsoever between these squads. In fact, they've barely even faced each. other in their current incarnations.

From there, a listener question from John Smith (@boom_shaka), who asked which young Laker has the best chance of breaking out: Talen Horton-Tucker or Malik Monk? For the sake of variety, Kendrick Nunn was also included in the discussion, but in reality, on several fronts, the answer not only feels like THT, but really needs to be.

And finally, with the Hall of Fame ceremony this weekend, the Kamenetzkys enjoy some "What if?" over inductee Chris Webber's recent comments that before getting traded to Sacramento in 1998, he'd been holding out hope of a move to the Lakers in exchange for Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel, and Elden Campbell. Um... Shaq, Kobe AND C-Webb. Holy crap, what a fun team that would have been!!!
