episode 98: MD31 – Bremen on fire as Bayern edge past Gladbach

There are now just three Bundesliga matchdays left between now and the end of the season! And, barring a complete collapse, Bayern will win their eighth straight title. That comes after they beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1. The Bavarians were pushed hard, and clearly missed the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller, but Leon Goretzka’s late winner grabbed all three points.

At the bottom, Werder Bremen did their survival hopes no harm with a huge 5-1 victory. Their opponents, Paderborn, are all but relegated themselves, but Florian Kohfeldt will have been impressed by his team’s display.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund confirmed their participation in next year’s Champions League. That was thanks to a 1-0 win against Fortuna Dusseldorf. Erling Haaland’s goal may have been right at the death, but they all count – Dusseldorf, though, remain in trouble.

As always, a very special thanks to our friends ‘Phre The Eon’ for the theme music. Anyone interested can find them on Facebook.
