Running Home To You by Joye E. Dunn

Label: J&S 1425
Year: 1963
Condition: M-
Price: $50.00

This is an original stock copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection. Here's another case where in the passage of time and according to taste, I think the real gem on this 45 is the B side — have a listen to the mp3 "snippet" to see if you like it as much as I do. It has some particularly nasty (in a good way) electric guitar picking aside Ms. Dunn's powerful vocals, and it swings something fierce! The A side is a slow RnB number that's also worthwhile. Collector Nerd Alert: The label puts the B side track time at 2:26, but when I recorded it the real time turned out to be only 1:50, making this one of my famed and fabulous "truly short" songs. In this case, I'm putting the recorded time in the database rather than what's on the label. Note: This 45 is among those in the Neal collection that she may have actually played, but no more than once or twice I would guess. The labels have almost no signs of wear, aside from a hard-to-see "x" inked on the A label. The vinyl has very light signs of wear, still within Near Mint range. The same goes for the audio, which rises well above some underlying, very light surface noise. (Check out the mp3 snippet for a sample.)
