In this episode, we discover the fascinating history behind Coca-Cola. Thanks to a set

of books our guest, Larry Jorgensen wrote during the interview, I find 20

Particular highlights about our conversation. I want to share them with you. So

let's get into them. Number one, during the introduction, we find out, Larry

considers himself an old news dog. Number two, we discover why Larry took the

time to learn about and write his books. And we also find out that Larry is not

an avid collector of Coca-Cola. Number three, Larry learns about Vicksburg,

Pennsylvania. The first place coke was bottled number four. We also

find out about a museum about 60 miles from Vicksburg, Pennsylvania, represented

by the family that started bottling Coca-Cola. Number five, we learn that no one has

done what Larry has done according to the families he has spoken with.

Number six, Larry tells us how he came up with the name of his book set. Number

seven, we found out that Memorial Day was the inspiration to put Coca-Cola in bottle number eight. Larry tells us how one man believed in bottling Coca-Cola

more than Coca-Cola did at one point in the history of Coca-Cola. Number nine,

I could not believe it when Larry told me about how the bottling rights to Coca

Cola in the United States except Mississippi sold for a mere $1. Number 10. We

learn how Coca-Cola became what it is today by leveraging what we know today

as franchising. Number 11, we talked about how iconic Coca-Cola became and how

everyone has a Coca-Cola memory today. Number 12. Larry talked to us about how

communities are raising funds to restore and preserve many of the iconic murals

on the sides of buildings in the United States. Number 13, we found out just how

appealing Coca-Cola is international. Number 14, we found out Pemberton came

up with the formula for Coca-Cola because of an old Civil War wound. Number 15.

We found out that we might not even have Coca-Cola today if the tax laws of

the day would not have changed. Number 16. We talked about how many products

are made or owned by the Coca-Cola company. It will blow your mind. Number 17.

We find out that Larry has plans for book number three. Number 18. Larry tells

us that he might have a photo of the very first Coca-Cola delivery man. Number

19. We learn how Coca-Cola gives back to the community. And number 20, we talk

about what Larry has on his websites like Coca Cola, pepper jelly, and all sorts

of great ideas coming from the Coca Cola lineup.
