episode 6: Felipe Blue

About Felipe Blue

I am empathic, genuine, open, and flexible. I respect my supervisees as persons and as developing professionals and am sensitive to individual differences such as gender, race, and ethnicity. I am also comfortable with the authority and evaluative functions inherent in the supervisor role and give clear and frequent indications of my evaluation of the counselor's performance. I also have a sense of humor which helps both the supervisees and I get through rough spots in our work together and achieve a healthy perspective on our work and the effect it has on clients. Such personal traits and relationship factors that I possess are considered as significant as technical prowess in supervision.

In terms of professional characteristics such as roles and skills, I am a knowledgeable and competent professional and can see myself as being the same in any role I take with an organization. I have extensive training and wide experience in counseling, which has helped me achieve a broad perspective of the field. I can effectively employ a variety of supervision interventions and deliberately choose from these interventions based on my assessment of a supervisee's learning needs, learning style, and personal characteristics. I seek ongoing growth in counseling and supervision through continuing education activities, self-evaluation, and feedback from supervisees, clients, other supervisors, and colleagues.

I also have the professional skills of a good teacher and a good consultant. In fact, I am able to function effectively in the roles of teacher, counselor, and consultant, making informed choices about which role to employ at any given time with a particular supervisee.

I believe I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to properly have a good practicum experience at your work site. I affirm that I will be attuned to the needs of any organization and will be an asset to it, the clients, and the other employees within it.

In today's episode, we speak with Felipe Blue. Some of the things that we discuss include Felipe Blue's introduction. Changing your narrative is what Felipe Blue is about. We speak about more than therapy, filling in the gaps based on what I am what I perceive. A lot of people fall through the cracks. Where there is a will, there is a way we find out what made Felipe say. I don't need this anymore. We speak about smoking weed soaked in formaldehyde. We speak about a time in our lives when we don't remember many areas of our life. We speak about finding what you want out of your troubles. We speak about what made us get into drugs and experimentation. We hear how important it is to understand how to dial 911 for help when there's an emergency. We speak about being raised by the streets and how death can change you. When you find out that, yes, smoking marijuana while you drive is considered a DUI. We discuss how any drug or alcohol or influence on the brain is mind-altering. We talk about the influence our culture has on us. We speak about what the military can do for a person in trouble. We also speak about the need for education. We hear how being on a submarine takes a certain type of person. We talked about so much in this interview that it is so influential.
