LeBron Looks Exhausted, Westbrook Looks Terrible as the Lakers Lose to Sacramento

Good lord, that was awful. Like, arguably the worst loss of the season for the Lakers, who have lost twice to the Thunder! By 28 to the Spurs! In three overtimes to these Kings! And so on, and so on, and so on. But given where they are in the standings and in the season, with a difficult schedule ahead, these are games the Lakers simply must win. And they were, for a while. So what went wrong?

Defense, for starters. As in a total lack of it. There was no area in particular where the Kings were particularly dominant, save field goal percentage. They were over 55% on the night, which is absurd. The Lakers were slow in transition, made critical errors, and generally wet the bed on that side of the floor.

One reason? LeBron looked tired. Really, really tired. And as much as he and Frank Vogel tried to talk around it after the game, it would almost be weird if he wasn't, given how much work he's done to carry the team since Anthony Davis went down. So what can the Lakers do about it, as a .500 team with zero continuity and no guarantee of finishing high enough to avoid the play in? It's a pickle, to be sure.

And then there's Westbrook, mired in a horrific slump, particularly over the last three games. He was atrocious against Sacramento. But there was at least one silver lining...

HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky

SEGMENT 1: What went wrong vs. Sacramento (poiler alert: many things...) and why this might have been the worst loss of the year.

SEGMENT 2: LeBron looks tired, and that's a huge potential problem going forward.

SEGMENT 3: Russ. Oh, Russ. He was awful on the court Wednesday, but at least wasn't awful off it.
