episode 2: Voices of F1: Atle Gulbrandsen on Dennis Hauger & F1 in Scandinavia (Part 1)

Which commentator's voice did you listen to while growing up as a Formula 1 fan?

That's the easiest way to explain our 'voices of F1' segment on the Inside Line F1 Podcast. In this off-season, we will invite leading commentators & broadcasters (past and present) on our show and bring to you Formula 1 from their lens.

Our first guest is Atle Gulbrandsen, one of the most-experienced Formula 1 commentators in the world. Atle leads the official Formula 1 broadcast in Norway & has been doing so for the past 25 years (he started at the tender age of 17!).

Subscribe to our newsletter! It's free, informative, insightful and visually appealing. You can read more and sign up.

In this episode with Soumil and Kunal, Atle shares how he got his break as a Formula 1 commentator, his early days as a broadcaster, Liberty Media's good work in Formula 1, the effect of Netflix's Drive to Survive on the Norwegian audiences, and then of course, Dennis Hauger's recent success in Formula 3.

Atle talks about Formula 1's future prospects in Scandinavia - can we expect a Scandinavian Grand Prix in the future?

This episode will be split in two parts. Part 2 will be out on Thursday (20th January, 2022).

Tune in!
