Are New Year’s Resolutions Still a Thing?

According to a CBS poll, 29 percent of Americans said they would be making New Year’s resolutions in December of last year, down from 43 percent a year ago. Listeners call in to share whether they made resolutions and stuck to them.

@BrianLehrer Working the “Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron. It’s time to re-set. Thank you, Brian, for having her on the show earlier this week.

@BrianLehrer This year I made a resolution to be healthier. January started with covid followed by gastritis followed by a torn shoulder. 34s the new 74. It's not happening

I had this discussion with my therapist and she said what she does and recommended was choosing a word to move into the New Year with rather than a resolution. This year, I'm contemplating "grace" -- for myself, others, in whole.
