Donald Trump seems to prefer the advice of family over political operatives.
Jared Kushner, husband of Ivanka Trump, real-estate developer, and owner of The New York Observer, has become integral to his father-in-law's campaign, especially when it comes to cleaning up Trump’s social media snafus. After Trump came under fire for tweeting a Star of David symbol as part an anti-Clinton ad, Kushner published an open letter in his own newspaper asserting, “My father-in law is not an anti-Semite,” telling the story of his own grandparents who survived the Holocaust.
