Ope Lines, Sunday, 7-10-16

Welcome to our Open Lines Program. During the first segment of our 1 hour 54 minute program, we made several important announcements including the dedication of today's program to the memory of Dr. Molly Macauley who was murdered last Friday in Baltimore. Molly was a guest on The Space Show several times and a friend. We and everyone who knew her will miss her. John from Ft. worth was our first caller to talk about mass. This was an interesting physics discussion that was joined later on by Dr. Doug from S. California as the subject evolved into including time travel. Michael Listner then called to update us on the Orbital ATK litigation he had mentioned a few weeks ago plus the RD180 issue which seems resolved for now. Before the break, John from Freemont called to talk about the nuclear molten salt reactor. In the second segment, Dr. Doug called back to talk about recent new discoveries and information regarding Ceres plus dust mitigation on the Moon and Mars. He also talked about the Martian Moons Phobos and Deimos. John from Ft. Worth called back to talk about water as a nuclear fuel. Doug then asked him several questions by email regarding this matter. We went over the coming Space Show schedule, highlighting to key shows for the future. Please read the full review of this program at www.thespaceshow.com for this program on this date, July 10, 2016.
