It was a rainy day on Ahway Island. The pretty green trees had friendly rain drops on their leaves that gently slipped onto the grass. Everyone on Ahway Island was spending a great day inside. All except Alma Raincoat who was ready to go out into the warm rain and have some fun! Alma loved playing in the rain with her owner, Britney. But today was extra special, Alma and Britney were going to visit Britney’s grandma.

 

Today was extra-special: Alma and Britney were going to visit Britney’s Grandma, who everyone affectionately called “Grammy.” Alma couldn’t contain her excitement. It had been quite some time since it rained on Ahway Island. Alma loved the sunshine too but the rain was always her favorite. The rain drops made funny sounds when Alma was over Britney’s shoulders. The rain also helped make all of the pretty flowers grow in the spring. Alma’s bright yellow color made it easy for everyone to see where she and Britney were. When it rained, Alma’s bright yellow made her feel like she was Ahway Island’s sunshine for the day.
