Alright Mary is two parts Drag Race viewing party, one part queer studies lecture and a healthy dose of obscure pop culture references, all wrapped in a nuanced layer of dad jokes and pun-offs served weekly with a side of piping-hot tea.

Episode 304: Alright Scary – “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997)
To finish out this year’s Alright Scary, we’re revisiting Scream’s less impressive little sister “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” This movie unfortunately did not age well, and while we’re always excited for late 90’s nostalgia, Jennifer Love Hewitt’s heel-length dress, Elsa’s implacable anger, and the quick clean-up of those crabs were just some of the things we couldn’t get hooked on. Sarah Michelle Gellar is a bright spot in the cast, but we completely forgot about Anne Heche and the football star and fisherman in this movie look like Pilates instructors. (But Freddie Prinze Jr. in that tank top can haul his crabs into our tugboat any day.) This may be a summer misadventure worth forgetting but it was a fun way to wrap up the spooky season!
