Community Deeply Saddened Following Tragic Incident At Ballyalla Lake
A Clare community are said to deeply saddenend, following the death of an Ennis resident in tragic accident at Ballyalla lake. 49-year-old Samir Kaul, who's originally from India, but has been living in the town, died after getting into difficulty while diving at the Old Pier on Saturday night. It's understood a number of young men managed to bring him ashore, while the local lifeguard also assisted, with Gardaí, the National Ambulance Service and Irish Coast Guard all alerted. He was later pronounced dead. Mayor of Ennis, Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy has been telling Clare FM's Fiona Cahill that it's heartbreaking to hear of such a tragedy in your home town.
