The scene: A small village of Woodford, Vermont. Evening, It's 9pm, and the main street in the village is deserted. A car comes speeding through and with the squeal of its brakes comes to a stop before the home of Dr. Samuel Stewart. A young woman, obviously distraught, gets out from behind the wheel of the car and hurries up the walk to the doctor's home.
