The lady in the Georgia Creek Three days before the fourth of July celebration of 1885, a gentleman crossed a bridge over Milk Creek near Dalton, Georgia was confronted by a young boy pointing out a body in the creek. They pulled the body to shore and notified the authorities. An inquest was held. The coroner found she had two deep wounds in her skull. The young lady's brain was still oozing from two head wounds. The lady was a stranger to Dalton. Who was she? Who Killed her and why? Was justice found in the courts or at the end of a rope by an angry crowd?
