Stacy T. Sims, PhD, a New Zealand-based exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist, is an expert in female-specific nutrition. She's also the cofounder and chief research officer of OSMO Nutrition, a sports nutrition company, and author of "ROAR: How to Match Your Food and Fitness to Your Unique Female Physiology for Optimum Performance, Great Health, and a Strong, Lean Body for Life." In this episode, she answers our (many) nutrition questions, including how women should fuel differently from men, why you should drink tart cherry juice before bed, and, yes, how to perform at your best when you're on your period.
