~~The Gift of Letting Go–Surrender Meditation~~

Imagine if you could easily go with the flow when plans suddenly change…and you could stay more fully connected and in-tune with God’s will for your life on a daily basis. This guided meditation has been writing by licensed clinical therapist Linda Rasmussen to assist you to:

* Lower your anxiety and stress levels
* Release the need to control
* Let go of perfectionism and find empathy, compassion, and contentment with your life
* Heal the imbalanced need to please or perform for others in order to be loved
* Live fully in the present moment
* Forgive and let go of the past
* And more…

Surrender means giving up the burden of trying to be all-knowing and trying to force our will on everyone else.  The need to control destroys individuals, marriages, families, relationships, businesses, communities, and even whole nations and is typically caused by fear and anxiety.  At the core of this anxiety and fear is the fear of not having our needs met…

In the Book of Mormon ~ The experience common to all its prophets is the witness they bore of Jesus Christ, the Messiah – of his divine sonship and his earthly mission. A number of them, including Lehi, Nephi the 1st, Jacob, Benjamin, Abinadi, Alma the Younger, and Samuel the Lamanite, foretold his coming (1 Ne. 1:19;10:4;19:7-8;Jacob 4:4-5; Mosiah 3:5-8). They foresaw his atoning sacrifice and his resurrection (Mosiah 3:10-11;15).
The apostle Paul wrote, “He that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.” (1 Cor 14:3) So that person can teach, admonish, and give assurance of God’s love.
Some have combined their functions as prophets with other activities, such as being judges like Alma, military leaders like Mormon, historians, poets, and church and civic administrators, like King Benjamin.
Frequently, visions and dreams are highly symbolic. Buildings, rivers, trees, and other common things are used to symbolize something else. The symbolism is understood by those who use the Spirit of God to understand, while others are unable to comprehend and so, aren’t held accountable for a higher level of knowledge.
Joseph of Egypt was a prophet, seer and Patriarch. He was a remarkable and gifted prophet. God promised through him a last-days seer would be sent to the world. The promise was accomplished through Joseph Smith. (2 Ne 3:6-14) Joseph was promised by God, sent by God, commissioned, guided, directed, inspired and led by God. His life was foretold in prophecies almost as many centuries beforehand as Christ’s life was foretold. God blesses those who take seriously the Book of Mormon, which we only have because of the latter-day seer, Joseph Smith.
The Lord keeps His counsel close to Himself.
