The sun begins to set as the dinner-bell rings. Travis decides to see how valuable the information he won from the Morrigan is. Jonnit and Gable bully Travis for being insistent on having a constant existential crisis. They decide to peep into the future to put him at ease, a choice that I'm sure won't have major implications down the line. Don't worry about it.
Gable, Jonnit, Orimar, and the, uhhh... helpful hand... decide to 'talk it through as a crew' and fill the rest of the Uhuru pirates in on what's really happening in Sorrow's End and discuss options on how best to deal with it.
We join Captain Orimar Vale in the process of trying to restore order to his life. His office, his ship, and his body have moved at the whims of wills other than his own for nearly a year. Finding a sense of normalcy will be slow work. Made all the slower by interruptions from aspiring starwatcher Jonnit Kessler. Meanwhile, Gable, Nodoze, and Pliff help Wendell Barge celebrate his upcoming nuptials with a new partner on week-long couture bachelor party hunting trip.
Orimar, Gable, Jonnit, and the crew finalize their ideas of how to insinuate a revolution in the factory town of Sorrow's End while hopefully accomplishing their remaining goals there...
While everyone was having their own adventures last week, Travis was sitting with some of his gloomier thoughts, as a bird. After the sun sets he decides to visit Bathroom Barry, the ship's quartermaster for some advice. During this time he lets it slip that there might be a group aboard the Uhuru planning a mutiny.
Gable returns to The Uhuru with news of an unknown ship in the area. Orimar orders everyone to stand by and prepare. Not knowing if they face friend or foe means they have to be ready for everything. Tension mounts as the orphans are moved to a safe location at the heart of the ship and the battle leaders brace for conflict.
Gable visits the Reference Desk and tries to gather essential information for the Uhuru. They need to balance their hunger for information with the ship's budget. Orimar and Jonnit begin to meet with Truss, putting a great deal of effort into keeping up their charade of being a father-and-son pair of loathsome socialites.
Taking no chances, Gable begins ordering evasive maneuvers preparing The Uhuru to battle The Silver Bullet. In the belly of the ship Jonnit finishes getting the orphans latched into safe places before rushing off to try and help. Travis comes to the realization that he and Orimar have unintentionally walked in on a group of rowdy Rs and they might be in danger. He scrambles for a way to warn Orimar without tipping off the mutineers.
Orimar and Jonnit put on a tremendous show of Silly Buggers to lull Edith Truss into a false sense of safety. Once Jonnit leaves the room Truss entrusts Orimar with her monstrous plans to influence the Red Feather syndicate into somehow becoming worse. The captain must suppress his murderous rage in order to stay disguised.
Orimar confronts Rocco who reveals a plan to get back at the captain for what he sees as poor leadership and a low payday for capturing feather weave from the Civility. Gable continues extreme evasive maneuvers for the ship causing chaos for the enemy ship and the mutineers. Jonnit uses his third eye to hitch a ride out of the frying pan and into the fire.
