episode 1369: LeBron James Misses Wednesday's Loss to Philly, Lakers Still Feeling Good About Themselves

Following Monday's incredible performance in the team's win over Cleveland, LeBron James's problematic knee swelled up like a balloon, and he missed Wednesday's game against the Sixers at The Crypt. Anthony Davis is still out with an ankle injury. Talen Horton-Tucker, too...

episode 1368: Will the Lakers Make the Play-In Tournament? How Much Will Anthony Davis Help?

The Los Angeles Lakers have 10 games remaining. Seven are against teams with winning records, two are against the New Orleans Pelicans, who are vying to host a potential play-in game against the purple and gold, and the last is against the Thunder... who have beaten the Lakers TWICE this season...

episode 1367: LeBron James Dominates as the Lakers Beat the Cavaliers. Are They Showing Signs of Life?

Sustained periods of quality play have been hard to come by this season for the Los Angeles Lakers, but Monday they put together some decent quarters en route to a 131-120 win over the Cavaliers. LeBron James was fantastic, notching 38 points with 11 rebounds and 12 assists, Russell Westbrook finished with 20/11, and only one turnover. DJ Augustin didn't miss a shot! And the Lakers as a team looked like they were having fun, a rarity this season for very obvious reasons...

episode 1366: Why Laker Fans and L.A. Don't Seem to be Reacting to LeBron James Breaking Records

The Lakers had a busy weekend, winning an inspiring game Friday in Toronto before Saturday in Washington in a most irritating way, one this team has been prone to all year. Bad defensive decisions, questionable coaching, cold and stagnant offense, horrible turnovers and so on. It was a reminder that this team isn't unpopular with fans because they lose - though that obviously doesn't help - but because how they often lose makes these Lakers hard to like...

episode 1365: LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Wenyen Gabriel(!) Fuel Lakers' OT win over Toronto Raptors

HOLY HELL!!! The Lakers got one of their best wins of the season, very shorthanded, even by their standards, in Toronto against a quality Raptors squad. And from the opening tip, the energy in this game felt different. From the Lakers actually putting points on the board early... to all nine guys who stepped on the court making strong contributions... to Wenyen freakin' Gabriel having a career night... this was as strong as this team has looked in quite some time...
