World Hemophilia Day commemorated in northern Iraq


On 18 April 2024, World Hemophilia Day was observed in the Kurdistan region at the GIN Blood Center in Duhok, Iraq. Many children with blood diseases enjoyed fun activities and were handed gifts and toys. Dr Omid Adnan, a specialist in blood disease treatment at the centre, discussed its significance with Naseem Sadiq, who filed this report.

How to deal with Trauma?


Lina Isho, the leader of the STARTTS Youth Program, discusses the recent violent events in Sydney and how they affect people, particularly refugees who have experienced trauma before. She explains that exposure to violent news or events can trigger past traumas, especially for those who have previously recovered.
