The Curious Cat Podcast

After a long hiatus we are finally back!! We recorded this episode in Nov 2021 but never wanted to release it until Zoe and I were happy to start recording again. We thought we would start with this unreleased episode to wet your appetites again. This returning episode focuses on the 2010 strange death of a British Intelligence officer whose body was found in confusing and bizarre circumstances. We hope you enjoy.

What is a Pringle? Why should I avoid a Snollygoster? This week we (Seb and Zoe) decided to test our knowledge in the form of a quiz. Neither of us had ever created a quiz show before so it was a matter of learning on the job. All in all, we didnt think it turned out too bad. Very informative as usual with a splash of humour. This will be the first of many on the Stay Curious platform. Join in the fun by playing along and let us know how you got on.

In this 6th episode, Seb and Zoe dive into the Valley of the Dead in anchient Egypt. We take a look at one of the biggest head scratchers of its time, Who is the Younger Lady? Previously mistaken for the famous Queen Nefertiti the Younger Lady, holds claim to being the actual mummy of one of the worlds most famous kings.

For our second mini Stay Curious episode we decided to stick with the theme of Halloween and deliver you a story inspired by the the fantastic series The Twilight Zone. This weeks episode is written and produced by Sebastian Bowen and narrated by Sebastian Bowen and Zoe-Marie Castleman.

In the 1900 three men emplyed to be keepers of a lighhouse on a remote island off the coast of Scotland mysteriously dissappeared. There whereabouts have never been discoverd and many theories and speculations have since replaced their existence. This week Seb and Zoe deliver the first Stay Curious episode, the first of many short episodes that we will be posting in between our usual biweekly 1 hour episodes. A huge organisation backed by wealthy billionaires desguised as a self help marketing company, ends up destroying so many womens lives for the twisted pleasure of one man. In episode three Seb and Zoe discuss the story of the abandoned five cousins of Queen Elizabeth II that were kept a secret and banished from the royal family to live out their days in an "asylum for the defective". The girls were hidden away from the public and never mentioned by the royal family. Join us in this weeks epsiode as we discuss the lives of the five cousins and the potential reasons as to why the royal family did what they did.

This week Sebastian and Zoe discuss the widely documented phenomena know as the dancing plague of 1518. A contagious plague that saw up to 400 people involuntarily danicing non stop until their death. We look at some of the theories behind what may have caused it to happen and other similar events that have happened arround the world in more recent times. We explore everything from the supernatural, religion, drugs, or mass hysteria.
