Spring game weekend, or as it's known locally, Hokie Hi Weekend, is a celebration Hokies Athletics. In addition to the football program, so many of our teams are in action and being showcased - making it one of the best weekends on the VT calendar. In this episode, Pete and Sam chat with Coach Mike Holmes of the Hokie Hitter YouTube series. Mike provided great insight on the standout performances, offensive and defensive schemes, as well as position battles...
The second annual Spring Game Pregame Show was a blast! Two Deep, Boundary Corner, Tales from the Terrordome, VT4L, Treadmill Horse, Main Street Pharmacy, and, of course, the Sons of Saturday came together to break down every aspect of Hokies football prior to the 2024 VT Spring Game. Segments 1 & 2 were more business-like, getting into the nuts and bolts of the roster and the game. Segment 3 was a different story - Jeremy and the boys were letting it fly and hilarity ensued...

Pete and Sam attempt to make sense of everything, and maybe even turn hopeful by the end of the show...
It was an action-packed weekend for Hokies athletics. Our ladies were in action hosting the NCAA tournament, our wrestlers were battling for championships out in Kansas City, and our football program got a boost on the recruiting trail. Pete was joined by Mike McDaniel to get you up to speed on everything VT, and provide some perspective on the run Kenny Brooks and the women's basketball team have put together these past few years.
We did our first on-location pod of 2024 and it was a blast! Founder of Commonwealth Brewing Co., Jeramy Biggie, joined Pete for an interview about his life in the beer industry. From his start, to how he builds out his tap list, to what's next in craft brewing, he provided amazing insight. Next up was Ed Williams for thoughts on our basketball programs, and we finished the show talking football with our two Dans (Treadmill and Terrordome). All in all, it was a great time. Enjoy!
It was a busy weekend for Virginia Tech athletics - both basketball teams, wrestling, the diamond sports, etc. Pete and Sam get you caught up on everything before discussing their beers, as well as some of the football hype the #Hokies been getting the past few months.
After setting the field and deciding on the no. 1 seeds for VT's best win since 2000 in the previous episode, Pete, Sam, and Clark were joined by Pat, Hack, and Brett to finish assigning the bracket seeds. With so many different opinions, this was extremely difficult, but a ton of memories and fun stories were shared along the way.
It was a tough scene in Charlottesville on Sunday night. Georgia Amoore did her best to pick the team up after Liz Kitley had to leave the game, but it wasn't quite enough. Pete and Sam recap the week that was for Hokies basketball, from the highs of Gameday and the men coming back against Wake Forest, to the heartbreak against UVA.
The Hokies have had a lot of great wins over the past 23 seasons, but which one is the best? That's what this Memory Lane episode is all about. Pete and Clark compiled a list of 44 "big wins" for Tech from the post-Michael Vick era, and with the help of Sam and Devon, they trim that number down to 32 to fill out a Best Win bracket. Once the bubble is sorted out, the contenders for the four no. 1 seeds are revealed and the opinions start flying...
