Examine it! The Porsche Panamera GTS


Car tester Reinhold Deisenhofer took the four-seater Porsche Gran Turismo Sport out on the road to hear it roar. The new Panamera has more performance, grooved and vented brake discs, ten millimeters less ground clearance, dynamic chassis control, and adaptive air suspension - all as standard.The Panamera GTS' powerplant is a naturally aspirated V8 engine with 4.8 liters of capacity and an output of 316 kilowatts.

Vintage: A Porsche approaching the 1 million miles mark


For 45 years now, Guy Newmark from California has been commuting to work almost daily with his 1964 356C Porsche. The car, appropriately named 'Blue', has travelled 997,000 miles since then. Guy has managed to achieve this feat with the help of German-born mechanic Fred Busche, who in the 1960s used to work for Porsche in Berlin.Then he emigrated to America and has since helped keep 'Blue' on the road. Drive It! went to visit Fred in his garage.

Present it! Lexus RX 450h


In 1998 Lexus launched the RX, a crossover between a luxury sedan and a light SUV. Its design has changed substantially over the years, taking on elements from sports cars and luxury models. We test the latest RX model, the 450h hybrid. It has a new, highly efficient and powerful 3.5 liter V6 direct injection engine.Together with it's electric motors the car has an output of 230 kW. Plus: the control over the rear electric motor was reworked to improve performance when accelerating in curves.
