Episode 130  addresses key events in Cuba that took place immediately in the aftermath of the coup by Batista and  mostly  just after 1952. We also begin to explore the rise of Fidel Castro to Cuba's center stage and we will make the pivot to a complet history of Castro over the next several episodes beginning in episode 131.  The aftermath and repurcussions of Batista's coup would give  rise and voice to the  young Fidel Castro as a revolutionary force in Cuba...

Episode 132   is the first fully dedicated episode covering Fidel Castro in what will be a mini series of episodes that covers Castro from his beginning. This current series will take us  all the way through his triumphant toppling of the Batista government on January 1, 1959.  This first episode chronicles Fidel Castro's background, and his early years at the University of Havana...

Episode 133   is the second  fully dedicated episode covering Fidel Castro  and the Cuban Revolution. In this episode, we give an overview of the revolutionary years and chronicle the major events of the Cuban Revolution that took place during the period between the coup by Batista in March 1952 through the fall of the Batista government,  marked by his fleeing of the country on New Year's day 1959...

Episode 134 introduces the concept of a Bonus Episode.    We cover some additional history related to Angel Castro, the father of Fidel.   Join us in this continuing miniseries on Cuban history  as we continue to set the stage and  explore  the forces that were shaping the world in that era of the twentieth century...

Episode 135 is another  Bonus Episode.    We cover the infamous story of the failed Attack on the Moncada Barracks.  This was the  first armed attack  led by Fidel Castro against the Batista government after the1952  coup by Batista.  The attack failed miserably with 25 people killed in the attack itself and an additional 54 of the revolutionaries summarily rounded up and murdered shortly afterward. Fidel Castro escaped into the mountains but was subsequently apprehended and brought to trial...

Episode 136 is another  Bonus Episode.    We cover the story of Castro in Mexico just prior to his return from exile and the celebrated voyage from Mexico to Cuba on the Granma, a  converted yacht. It was a trip he made with 81 other revolutionaries in rough seas and treacherous conditions and it took place  over a  seven day period  at sea.  It was Castro's treacherous return from exile to again set foot on Cuba and  eventually wage a successful guerilla war against the Batista regime...

Episode 137 cover's  a few key  final events of Batista's regime and his ouster and we also go out with  the Mob  on New Year's eve and stay with Meyer Lansky in those  wee morning hours of New Year's day....as the mob scrambled in the midst of the fresh news regarding the toppled regime. Episode 138 covers the first year of Castro's regime in 1959.  Castro establishes officers of the new  government,  conducts military tribunals and holds  trial, convicts and executes over 500 war criminals. He nationalizes American owned assets on the island and makes a trade agreement with the Soviets, as the United States places sanctions on Cuba for its actions...

Episode 139 is a special edition episode which tells the story of an "Almost" appearance on the Megyn Kelly Show during her December history week series.   And along with  telling the story  in the prologue regarding that "Almost" appearance, we go ahead  in this episode 139  and provide you with a special narration  on JFK  that summarizes much of what went on that day in Dealey Plaza...
