episode 21: Tour de France 2020: Stage 20 Recap

A historic day for the Tour de France. Whilst the mountains may have been less exciting than we anticipated, this stage will go down as one of the greatest in Tour de France history. We try and do it justice in this podcast but I am sure there will be some more hot takes to come. What a day for general classification upheaval and what a year 2020 has been. Hats off to Tadej Pogacar and Primoz Roglic for a fantastic battle...

Queen stage arrives. A finish on a "goat path" at the top of Col de la Loze, the highest and most fierce climb of this Tour de France. And it surely delivered. Benji Naesen & Lanterne Rouge dissect every move and analyse the tactics held by teams and its outcomes. Additionally, we discuss what we see as the future moves in GC according to the current standings. Oh, and F for Jens Debusschere.

Tour de France Stage 16, straight out of the rest day, was set for a breakaway and maybe some intermediate sprint shenanigans if Bora felt up to it. A large and strong breakaway group formed and a real battle eventuated on the final major climb of the day, with one young rider running away victorious.

Giro Rosa 2020: Stage 2 & 3 Recap

The Giro Rosa is now in full swing and it was the usual suspects contesting for stage honours in stages 2 and 3. Stage 3 included a loose gravel climb in the last 20km which would prove decisive and typical for the race, stage 3 contained a short punchy climb finish in a walled Italian town (a personal favourite finish of mine).
