#11 - The Murder of Rachel McLean


A lover of Redheads – or the two that got away and the one that came back.

In a cupboard under the stairs, Police found an eight-inch-high gap – and through that gap the body had been pushed so it was directly under the floorboards of her bedroom It was covered in pieces of carpet, but due to the low spring temperatures, there was no decomposition so no odour to alert anyone. 

Within the hour, the suspect was arrested at a pub over 100 miles away in Nottingham...

29th August 2003 at 03:45am the police received a 999 call from an elderly woman saying her husband had been attacked by intruders  and could they please come quickly as she thought he was dead.

Very quickly things began to appear “off” to the Police.  Not least that the victim was 83/85 years old, very poor health, almost bedbound and the victims wife, being 81 – both of which would be able to put up little resistance...

April 10th 2009 - The police cadaver dog indicated to a spot in the garden of the property in Amelia County, Louisiana that the police had been told to look for the remains of a previous resident, last seen in 1994.

They started digging and soon turned up a striped sheet and wrapped in that sheet was what appeared to be a body.  This was swiftly removed from its unofficial resting place and examined...

Michelle had been told about the package, which had been put there by her neighbour who had died the previous month.  The neighbour had asked as a dying wish, for this to be put back in the loft, the old medical manekin they had in their posession...
