कठपुतली की कला को जीवन दे रहे हैं यह बुज़ुर्ग कलाकार


भारत में कठपुतली की कला लगभग पांच हज़ार साल पुरानी है, लेकिन अब यह कला धीरे-धीरे विलुप्त हो रही है। तकनीकी युग में अब न कठपुतली के कलाकार बचे हैं और न ही अब किसी को इसमें बहुत दिलचस्पी रह गयी है। लेकिन पश्चिम बंगाल में अब भी 79 वर्ष के बुज़ुर्ग डॉ शुभोय जोरदार कठपुतली कला को जीवित रखे हुए हैं। वे सिर्फ इसका मंचन-निर्देशन ही नहीं करते बल्कि उनके प्रयास से आज कठपुतली कला विश्वविद्यालय में पाठ्यक्रम में शामिल कर ली गयी है। जानिए डॉ शुभोय की पूरी कहानी इस रिपोर्ट में।
