Garrett Russell is the frontman for the Azusa, California metalcore band Silent Planet. Since being formed in 2009, the group has traveled the world performing their brand of heavy and progressive metalcore releasing five studio albums, the latest being Superbloom recently released via Solid State Records on November 3rd. On this podcast, we dive into how aliens, of all things, influenced the latest record.

Mark Whelan is not only the frontman and mastermind of Boston's death metal band Fuming Mouth, he recently became a cancer survivor. Mark beat a. rare form of blood cancer, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), during the Covid pandemic and had nearly the entire hardcore and metal scene come together to help him in his trying time. Now with all that behind him, Whalen has just released Fuming Mouth's second album with no plans of stopping in the future!

John Baizley is a founding member and guitarist of the Progressive Metal band Baroness. Birthed in Savannah, GA in 2003, the band has been running hard for 20 years now (with Drummer Sebastian Thomson joining the band 10 years ago), releasing six full-lengths in that time frame with Stone being their most recent (released 09/15/23). Justin Pearson is a multi-faceted man, to say the least. From his early days as a skateboarder all the way to his current time running a record label to being a member in umpteen bands. Justin started Three One G in the early 90s and has managed to keep it running for 30 years, which is a feat of its own. Of the bands Justin has been or is a part of; the most notable are The Locust, Some Girls, Dead Cross, and Deaf Club. But again, that list is a long one.

Josh Brigham is the guitarist and founding member of the Charlotte, NC-based post-hardcore/melodic hardcore band Hopesfall. Started in 1998, the band was signed to Trustkill Records in 2002 and released the fan-favorite The Satellite Years. The group would go on to release three more albums under Trustkill before going on hiatus in 2007, only to play a reunion in 2011...

Cannibal Corpse was formed in Buffalo, NY in 1988. Bassist Alex Webster is one of two original members, the other being drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, from that lineup still in the band. In almost 40 years the legendary death metal band has released 15 studio albums, a few live albums, and a handful of EPs. For a band, much less a death metal band, Cannibal Corpse has accomplished what most wish to and Alex along with the rest of the band have no intentions of stopping any time soon...

Josh Middleton is the guitarist and originating member of the UK melodic thrash/death metal/metalcore band Sylosis. Josh started the band in 2000 when he was just 15, the band released its sixth full-length, A Sign Of Things To Come, last week on Nuclear Blast Records. Josh also spent time in the British progressive metalcore band Architects, playing lead and backing vocals since 2017, only stepping down earlier this year to focus full-time on Sylosis.

Brendon Small is an actor, comedian, writer, director, producer, and musician. Small created the animated series Homes Movies in 1999 and also had a love for metal music. In 2006 both of those worlds collided when Small began to create Metalocalpyse, a show based around the fictional death metal band Dethklok, for whom Small writes the music for as well. Recently the Metalocalypse series was revamped for a feature film which was released in August along with a Dethklok material-heavy soundtrack.

James "Human Furnace" Bulloch has fronted the Cleveland-based thrash metal/metalcore band Ringworm for nearly 30 years, a part for the time the band went on a brief hiatus in the mid-90s. Ringworm has set the bar for heavy by releasing 9 full-lengths, most recently 2023's Seeing Through Fire.
