The world - and specifically New York City - is covered in alien goo so Mayor Kingpin is like “I’ll do a Suicide Squad thing but even more corrupt.” So he grabs Taskmaster, Mister Fear and a few other jabronis and has them go find Norman Osborn and his weird hair to help them. Secret Origins [vol 2] #21 (1987) Two stories in one today as we first explore the origin of infamous cowboy corpse, Jonah Hex. Twisted curio collector Ian McKellan and hired goon Donal Logue are here to shake down Jonah’s elderly wife for rights to his stuffed corpse but ’92 Jeff Goldblum is here to save the day. Then later, we learn about the original Black Condor. Starting out as an obese baby, Condor became irradiated by a meteor and learned to fly, going around fighting eagles and stuff...

The caveat here is now is that CAPTAIN BRITAIN has now been possessed by trash to the point where he’s just sitting around eating it. Like used wrappers and apple cores and all that. She-Hulk resorts to her feminine wiles and remarkably average-sized feet to save the day...
DC Comics Presents #43 (1982) Superman is harassed by his co-workers because he opts to have a wistful stare out of a window rather than talk to that yutz Jimmy Olson. He thinks he sees a Sun Eater and he’s correct but gets ambushed by Mongul. Mongul traps Clark in a glass case of emotion so its up to the Legion of Super-Heroes to figure it all out. Cosmic Boy shows up wearing his black Emma Frost corset costume and all is right in the world...
