35:51 Well, they'll because because it's a doomsday call. You know, they'll just commit suicide. And, no, what they'll do is they'll start over and, and predict another 2 years. We got the math wrong. Well, God you know, he whispered in our ear, and he said, you weren't listening the first time.

EP#426: Top Features to Add to Your Next Prototype
April 12, 2024
(duration 38m)
[transcript]
29:13 that just came to mind, but, it's sort of referenced a little bit earlier in this podcast. For SPI communication lines, add 0 ohm resistors to your clock, your data, even your CS lines, and you may say, why 0 ohm? You don't sometimes, you need inline impedance for your high speed digital lines like that, and if you don't have a resistor or if you don't have pads to install something, it is a nightmare to get them in there. Add 0 ohm resistors. Test your circuit.

17:36 He was like, hey. I have a video. I need so I found these alarm clock ideas on Reddit, and I want them made. One of them was a alarm clock paper shredder, and the other one was an alarm clock water gun. So he tells me, yeah.
21:07 Yeah. 2 days to get the parts in and then one day each alarm clock to build.
17:14 I think that's actually how, Alex, you and I started talking was it was your alarm clock project.
EP#421: Tracing a Path for PCB Design Automation with Sergiy Nesterenko
March 12, 2024
(duration 54m)
[transcript]
28:13 Like, let's say you're giving us, I don't know, STM 32 board. Great. As long as you've given us the part number, we have access to the data sheet. If we have access to the data sheet, we can go and query what all are the pins on the s s m 32 and what are their requirements. And then we'll see, okay, this needs a clock.
EP#420: The Mega IIe: A Vintage Computing Adventure with James Lewis
March 5, 2024
(duration 53m)
[transcript]
37:07 Because kind of going back to, you know, the stuff is all open, but it's like, how do you get a probe on the clock? Right? That's that's kind of a pain.
20:19 Yeah. Yeah. So the RP 2040, it's it the the thing that makes it special is that its IO pins have their own state machine and so you get. It's a 9 instruction set. You get 32 instructions and you can basically for example, you can shift in all 32 IOs in a single clock, and then you can shift those and then DMA those into RAM on the next clock.
29:15 Yeah. And it also it can it also buffered the clocks because there was a and I I I'm actually planning to look at this on a scope because it actually has to shift the clock a little bit or most of the clocks a little bit so that the timing lines up because of the way it's something to do with the way the 2 GS is designed, but it basically buffers the clocks for the slots so that they get the timing that that a Apple 2 card would expect.
EP#417: Cloud of Disks
February 13, 2024
(duration 41m)
[transcript]
02:53 Yeah. And we're gonna give out trophies to all the winners this time. Whereas last time, the, the first contest was blinking the LED, and we didn't give away any trophies. And in the useless machine, we gave away useless it was a useless clock that told the weather on Mars. Yeah.
