Box2Box, as the name implies, is a weekly football podcast for fans, experts and part-time enthusiasts who enjoy genuine analysis and conversation from one end of the pitch to the other. Top of the agenda each week will be the A-Leagues, a specific focus on the Socceroos & Matildas playing abroad and all Australia's FIFA World Cup qualification news. We’ll also be spending plenty of time on the UEFA Champions League and the other major European competitions including Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga. Box2Box features a line-up of experts who are famous for their hard-hitting opinions and each week we’ll chat current and former players along with some of the most authoritative journalists. The show digs deep into the politics and business of the world game providing insight and analysis fleshing out football's biggest issues. Box2Box Thursday 6th January 2022 - Celtic's J1 League Trio, AFCON Preview, Ulysses Kokkinos Passing


Michael Edgley, Derek Dyson and Willem van Denderen are joined by The Athletic's Kieran Devlin for an update on Ange Postecoglou's ascension at Celtic. Having lifted his first silverware last month Ange has wasted no time in the January transfer market, signing three further J1 League players.

BBC Sport Africa's Rob Stevens joins the show to preview the 2021 African Cup of Nations, which begins in Cameroon on Monday. Rob takes a look at the favourites, first timers and big storylines surrounding the tournament.

As always there's plenty to cover on the domestic front including the passing of South Melbourne Hellas legend Ulysses Kokkinos, the departure of Ben Halloran and Stefan Mauk from Adelaide United, and Katrina Gorry's return to her best.
