episode 8: Ep.8 Get Unstuck


Everything you've been doing has worked up to this point, but for some reason you find yourself stuck in an unfamiliar place that you've never been or stuck in a mental state that you've only heard about. You've always exceeded the standard, but now the bar has been raised, the standards are high and things have changed in ways you hadn't foreseen. You're no longer meeting the standards set before you. What's changed? You seek understanding to gain clarity, but it doesn't help. You've worked to hard to be in this position, or to not be seated in a particular position. The internal torment in unbearable. You seek validation, but receive none. Your previous areas of greatness are not so great.

In this episode, Ty addresses being stuck and getting unstuck. Through story telling, providing examples, targeting counter-productive behaviors and the unhealthy mindset of the stuck athlete or NARP (Non-Athletic Regular Person), Ty forges forward to help listeners to redirect there focus on themselves rather than their situation.  There are many reasons that a person can be stuck, but Ty approaches being stuck from his standpoint as a coach, former athlete, athlete-mentor and trainer.
