episode 91: My Christian child self and my secular adult self are of Oneness welfare, not separatist warfare!!!!

Adult me: “Religious skepticism is a type of skepticism relating to religion. Religious skeptics question religious authority and are not necessarily anti-religious but skeptical of specific or all religious beliefs and/or practices. Socrates was one of the most prominent and first religious skeptics of whom there are records; he questioned the legitimacy of the beliefs of his time in the existence of the Greek gods. Religious skepticism is not the same as atheism or agnosticism, and some religious skeptics are deists (or theists who reject the prevailing organized religion they encounter, or even all organized religion).” Child me: “Christians (/ˈkrɪstʃən, -tiən/ (listen)) are people who follow or adhere to Christianity, a monotheistic Abrahamic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. The words Christ and Christian derive from the Koine Greek title Christós (Χριστός), a translation of the Biblical Hebrew term mashiach (מָשִׁיחַ) (usually rendered as messiah in English).[11] While there are diverse interpretations of Christianity which sometimes conflict,[12][13] they are united in believing that Jesus has a unique significance.[12] The term Christian used as an adjective is descriptive of anything associated with Christianity or Christian churches, or in a proverbial sense "all that is noble, and good, and Christ-like."[14] It does not have a meaning of 'of Christ' or 'related or pertaining to Christ'.” The church dislikes to admit the paganism influences on Christianity, the polytheism influences on Christianity, and Ancient Egypt’s influences on Christianity. I view conservative theology as outdated, harmful to individuals, harmful to groups, harmful to society, an impediment to the progress of science and humanity, a source of immoral acts and immoral customs, and it’s a political tool for social control. According to James Jani’s “The Dark World of Megachurches” it’s easy to be victimized by Pharisees who claim to be real faith healers, but they are fake faith healers. “They would tell you to abandon medical professionals, not make any health conscious decisions, lie about their credentials, lie about the health statuses of people that they claim to heal, commit financial theft from the sick, and rely totally on God for healing. That’s how lots of people die prematurely, live with extreme illnesses, and have permanent injuries. Caleb Lack says: “The results of these treatments are at best a reduction in stress and short-lived placebo effects.” --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/support
