Leading Questions: S1 E5 | What Happens When We Have No Panelists

Some News Discussed: Voters split between Clinton and Trump on immigration A new CNN/ORC poll out Wednesday revealed that voters aren't sure whether Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton would best handle immigration issues. Voters were nearly evenly split on which presidential candidate would do the better job, with 49 percent putting their trust in Clinton and 47 percent in Trump. The divide was driven largely by a differing sense of what the top immigration priority is: For those who trust Clinton, it is figuring out how to ensure undocumented immigrants in thecountry can stay. For Trump backers, it is preventing immigrants from entering the country illegally. Apple announces iPhone 7, iOS 10 Apple announced the iPhone 7 on Wednesday, a redesigned version of the phone that will be water- and dust-resistant and feature an aluminum body and a highgloss finish. The new device will also boast two back cameras that allow for 10x digital zoom, live photo cropping and editing capabilities, and a new force-sensitive home button — but, as rumored, it will not have a traditional headphone jack. Apple will include a converter with every new iPhone to enable customers to continue using traditional headphones; alternately, users can purchase wireless or Lightning-enabled headphones. Also Wednesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced iOS 10, which will enable iPhones to "wake up" when they are lifted, and will include stickers and full-screen animations in iMessaging, a redesigned Maps app, and expansive home kit features. Preorders start Wednesday, with the phone available in stores Sept. 16. Senate opens inquiry into EpiPen pricing The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations is opening an inquiry into the pharmaceutical company Mylan's pricing of the EpiPen, it announced Wednesday. The EpiPen, which stops potentially fatal allergic reactions by injecting a precise dose of epinephrine, now costs about $600 for a two-pack, up from roughly $100 when Mylan acquired EpiPen in 2007. Mylan last month announced it would offer a generic version of the EpiPen in response to backlash over the skyrocketing prices, but lawmakers are still dissatisfied. The inquiry will be headed by Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), but Congress onlyhas only a few weeks to act before it adjourns Oct. 1 for an election season recess.
