Her own journey started when she noticed there was something off with her daughter and took her to the pediatrician. Through evaluation, her daughter was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability due to a rare genetic disorder called SYNGAP1, a disorder that affects the regulation of synapses in the brain. Fast forward, she is now using her experience to spread awareness and help other parents who is going through the same journey.
