I’m a Radio & Podcast Producer plus Host, Voice Over Artiste / Voice Actor & MC. These sessions are conversations with people whom I find very interesting. Either their personality or their work / cause shines through & in most cases both! Most whos celebrity value amongst Indians or internationally cannot be questioned, some who have risen to the occasion & despite personal & professional pressure have shown the light to us. Some speak on very relevant & topical themes, others speak about their lives in a manner that shall make sense even if we hear this decades from now. I try to listen more than I speak & ask relevant questions based on a combination of my laborious research & study on them or the theme they are covering plus elements of my own intuition about them that come to the fore as the conversation unfolds. Sameer Nair ceo of applause entertainment look at the stuff he’s produced... scam 1992, avrodh, hostages, rudra, mind the Malhotras, tanaav, criminal justice , the office, Your honor. these two titans and their coming together has resulted in three terrific seasons of the political drama `city of dreams` on disney plus Hotstar . And as the latest season continues steaming successfully here’s a fab interview with sameer and nagesh. the three of us share an easy camaraderie and like i mention at the end.... get a tamil, a malayali and a telugu person in a room together and its difficult to get them to shut up! the series itself is epic & the respect & warmth these two men have for each other is so obvious. good for us cinegoers cuz their collaborations will lead to more and more A grade content. city of dreams season 3 itself is epic, the best in the franchise. the resort politics, father daughter relationships, the chief minister in waiting, the broken cop ... have all been etched so beautifully by the writers rohit banawlikar & nagesh himself. throw actors of the calibre of priya bapat, atul kulkarni, sachin pilgaonkar & eijaz khan in the mix and the results are there for all of us to see and enjoy. nagesh says candidly that he can discuss nuances of film making and then get onto having leisurely dinners with sameer only because he has elahe hiptoola co producing the show taking care of all the finer nuances and detailing of running a full scale production, like the three seasons of city of dreams are. well done elahe, team applause, nagesh, sameer... thanks for getting together and creating magic. “The HrishiKay Sessions” are produced & presented by Hrishikesh Kannan popularly known as Hrishi K Thanks for listening.
