This psalm describes Jerusalem as the center of the world and is classified as one of the Songs of Zion. It's super short but packs a punch in mentioning Rahab, a mystical, demonic, chaotic, multi-headed sea-dragon representative of either The Abyss or Egypt. Forget psalms. We wanna learn more about this guy!

Psalm 88: A Prayer for Mercy and Deliverance from Death. Starts, "O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee." It was written by Heman the Ezrahite, a wise man from the time of King Solomon. This psalm is often assumed to be a Sick Psalm and stands alone for its unrelieved gloom and hopeless sorrow. So naturally, Wife wants it carved on her gravestone.

Psalm 89: God's Covenant with David. Starts, "I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever." Written by Ethan the Ezrahite, a wise man from the time of King Solomon. This psalm is sometimes referred to as a Covenant Psalm, and indeed, it goes on for a full page about how awesome God is. Boooring!
