Alex Sanchez grew up in an area where drug use, gangs, poverty, and racism were a part of everyday life. He lost his dad at the young age of two. He just wanted to be accepted, but society rejected him.
But the gang culture accepted him. He was constantly told he wasn’t going to amount to anything. He lived into what they said he would be.
His aggression fueled by the gang culture and drug addiction led to violence and inflicting pain on others. Ultimately, he landed a 10-year prison sentence. Underground Ministries directly changed his life.
Now, Alex works with Underground Ministries to help others reenter society. He shares his story of heartbreak and triumph in this moving episode of Upthinking Finance™.
