For last night's debate, Charlton McIlwain, associate professor of media, culture, and communication at NYU Steinhardt, hooked sixty black students and sixty white students up to perception monitors. Professor McIlwain and three of the student participants discuss the findings of a focus group of African-American and white college students who viewed the Hofstra University presidential debate.
