Little Benny

Hi, I'm Gail Nobles the Author of Little Benny. One day I just sat down and drew a man with a cigar in his mouth. Sometimes I drew him with pencil, and later I began to use paint programs from computer to draw him. Then after that, I used 3D modeling programs to experiment and to make a 3D character. No matter how I drew him, I was thinking of a man with a cigar in his mouth. I started drawing Little Benny around about 2005.

As I began to write a story about him, I tried to make him a Christian cartoon. There were Christian cartoon comics on the Internet like Church Mice, The Back Pew, and Reverend Fun just to name a few. I tried to get Little Benny known by submitting to a Christian cartoon site. There were several on the internet. Little Benny was rejected a couple of times. I was told Little Benny needed to grow, and I needed more comics. When Little Benny was rejected by another site, I was told that there was no humor. They had no way of putting Little Benny with other Christian cartoons. Later, I was told that it was possible that Little Benny could stand alone and that he could make it. He was a cartoon that could teach.

So what I had decided to do was create a blog about him. I had an online store and began to put his image on products. I began to make audio about Little Benny and was able to load up the audio through Blogger and animations as well. Now, today I am podcasting about Little Benny.
