His father was full Egyptian, and he never knew his mother when he was a child. He was given to a Jamaican lady who took care of him. His real name was Bazel Abdella. Spinx Bazel was a heavyweight champion in boxing. He had a strong punch and didn't really know his own strength until one day he killed a huge shark down at the beach with his bare hands. Bazel was then nicknamed Bazel Sampson because he had strength like the legendary warrior and Judge “Sampson” and longhair. But his strength did not come from his hair. Bazel was 7 foot 1.
