Elizabeth has the latest Travel News, including the story of how the City of New York, (which apparently doesn't have enough control over its remaining residents) is now requiring that "hosts" who list their homes online for short term rental/sharing, MUST register that property with the city. Then, a representative from the Mayor's office will visit and give their blessing as to how you use your own property. Since it's NYC, (and NOTHING gets done quickly) you'll need lots of luck (and a LOT of cash) if you plan on a short term rental instead of a hotel room.
