Season 5 Episode 11. Tayutic Mena, Counsellor, Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Tayutic is a seasoned veteran among the delegates dealing with the WTO. I have been working with him for many years, and we have worked together in many negotiations, including the ITA expansion, EGA, and TiSA. Since then, he has become a celebrity in the WTO, thanks to his involvement in agriculture, a topic that is close to his heart, and by the way he describes it, it should be close to everyone's heart. In our conversation, we covered a lot; from his background, growing up in Costa Rica, he talks about Costa Rica's strong interest in multilateralism and how they have decided to double down and be heard across all multilateral initiatives, successfully punching above its weight.
