Murder Me on Monday

A middled aged couple newly married, yet within a year there are accusations of domestic violence, yet no charges.  They carry on living together, but there is a restraining order in place.

Colleagues and family do not seem to be aware of any of this, except the wifes very best friend of many years.

The husband disappears, yet no one notices until his body is found three days after he was last seen.

Did the wife and the friend forage for the poisonous vegetable that probably caused the husbands death?

Did the best friend act alone in disposing of the body?
