LaMetàFisica, Alessandra Zerbinati, is a noise Italian artist and performer who has been pursuing her solo project during the last year through the use of body and sound. An unorthodox concept which looks as an essential distortion of sound and form in a “Funny Peculiar” scenario, laden with modified toys, tops, music boxes, old record player, walkman, MD, loopstation and effects. In her live, now international set-up and vintage fun, there is a huge sharp contrast with the refined noise, sad as close to the embrace of death, abandoned and sick as a child strayed. Her work is a mix of field recordings, circuit bending and extreme noise talk about depression, loneliness, inadequacy, perverse sexuality, disease sociopathic children, all controlled by minipony 83, artistic director and tycoon of LaMetàFisica. After some works in Greece, Brazil or Spain radio stations, she debuted in London in October 2014. She played also in Bologna supporting the Sol Invictus, in MainOff festival of Palermo with the likes of John Duncan and Frank Bretschneider and works with the Roman master Federico Placidi, making numerous live acts between Berlin, London and Madrid. Her new work is coming from Canada, with the experimental artist Phil Jagger (cousin of the famous Mick) and artist Trixie Moon. Apart from her professional noise career, she has been involved in music workshops and experimental concrete, applied to the study of the movement inspired by the great collaborators Cage/ Cunningham, Henry/ Bejart, Moog/ Nickolais.
