episode 72: A Prayer of Thanksgiving
We just celebrated Thanksgiving Day, which for many had a very different look and feel. Because of COVID-19, it was recommended that families in separate households not fellowship together. It was strongly suggested that if traveling plans were being made, to do so by automobile. Most people exercised wisdom and sheltered-in, while trying to make the best of a grim situation. I know of many people who reluctantly spent Thanksgiving Day alone. I Thessalonians 5:18 says, "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (NIV). No matter what the circumstances, we are to give thanks. Why? Because God provides, He protects, He delivers, He heals, and He is the giver of salvation.
