Frei heißt, dass Corax selbstverwaltet und offen ist. Offen für Themen und Musiken, die in den öffentlich-rechtlichen und vor allem privat-kommerziellen Sendern vernachlässigt werden. Offen aber nicht für alles – die Redaktionen sind sich darin einig, dass jede rassistische, sexistische und soziale Diskriminierung von Personen ausgeschlossen ist. Denn Radio Corax steht für die Vielfalt von Meinungen, für offene Diskussion und Kommunikation.
