Dr. Nirmalya Kumar is a Marketing Professor at Singapore Management University and is well-known as a top thinker in strategy and marketing worldwide. He's consulted and spoken at over 50 of the biggest companies around the globe, working in 60 different countries. He's also been a board member for 12 different companies, each with capitals exceeding a billion dollars. He's made it three times to the list of the world’s top 50 management thinkers and even received the “Global Village Award” in recognition of his significant contributions to understanding globalization and emerging markets. In addition to his consulting work, he’s lectured at some of the world’s best business schools, including Columbia and Harvard. He's also an author of 10 books, with titles like Marketing as Strategy, Brand Breakout, and Private Label Strategy. Notably, one of his journal articles was even mentioned in a Nobel Prize acceptance speech in Economics back in 2009.
