episode 78: King of the Whip heats up with more international riders! Companion with Clint Esposito
2023 was a huge year for King of the Whip and not just because more overseas riders made their way down to a very warm South Africa for the Best Whip themed competition.
But returning to Montecasino after last years massive event, it was going to be tough to beat the vibes from the first time it went on the big stage in the centre of Johannesburg.
And of course, LW Mag and Ryan van der Spuy knocked it out of the park! A fully sold out show, an extra 1,300 people were allowed into the venue from last year and made it even more special!
I was privileged enough to be the Host of the show for the second time and I was completely blown away at the increase in level of riding from everyone! Last year was insane, I didn't expect 30 wild South African racers going ballistic on their first attempt at hitting a steel ramp.
This year, everyone stepped it up again with the inclusion of Julien Vanstippen returning to defend his title, Edgar Torronteras the legend coming down to try steal the win. And Marc Pinyol as the international trick master coming to blow everyone's minds on body varials.
