Hurt to Healing: Mental Health & Wellbeing

Welcome to the Hurt to Healing podcast with me, Pandora Morris. I’ve been fighting an uphill battle with my mental health for years and it’s only now that I’ve started to see some glimmers of light. It’s almost unbelievable to think I am starting this podcast considering my incessant compulsions would normally try to talk me out of it. But here I am, continuing to fight my invisible bullies one day at a time. As part of my own recovery, I’ve made it my mission to support as many of you as possible on your own healing journey. I’ll be speaking to wonderful people from all walks of life who will open up about their own invisible struggles in the hope that it will provide a bit of solace and comfort for some of you. I’ll also be speaking to leading experts and doctors about different disorders and therapies that might help each of you expand your knowledge on the world of mental health.  Visit my website www.hurttohealing.co.uk to learn more about me and the work that I do.Produced by Rutherford Productions Hosted on Acast. Danny Gray on battling body dysmorphia and advocating for mental health education

Today, I am honoured to be joined by a remarkable guest who's on a mission to transform the way we perceive and address mental health. Danny Gray, the founder of JAAQ and War Paint for Men, has a story that resonates deeply with so many. His struggle with body dysmorphia, particularly regarding his ears and hair, began during his teenage years, casting a long shadow over his self-esteem and mental well-being.

Today, Danny joins us to share his inspiring journey of resilience. He reveals how he manages his mental health now, providing valuable insights for those facing similar challenges. But Danny's story goes beyond his personal struggle; it's about turning pain into purpose.

Through JAAQ, Danny is on a mission to educate and empower individuals about mental health and disorders like body dysmorphia. He knows firsthand the transformative impact of awareness and understanding. In this episode, we'll explore the reasons behind his passion for this cause and why he believes education is essential.

So, if you're ready to be inspired by a mission for societal change, this episode is the one to listen to.
